Juliet
Full Name: Joker Juliet
Gender: Female
Character: Affectionate at times, and
sometimes a bit aloof. She's our joker.
Of the llamas that
joined us from a farm in New Hampshire (and before that they
lived in Texas!), she's the most outgoing and playful. She loves
to go for a quick run, or jump around to swat a fly or get out
of someone else's way. She has unusual markings on her face
(which reminded someone of the Joker). She gives us kisses
whenever we enter the pasture, and she's a great escape artist -
but she can only do half the job. She gets out (usually by doing
a belly-crawl under the electric fence), but then later she
wants to get back in and can't do it on her own. So she has to
wait for one of us to happen by, and then she runs up to the
gate to offer a kiss and be let back in. She enjoys eating while
laying down in a pile of hay. And while she's good with people,
she doesn't like to stand still too long.
When her
buddy Sheeba gave birth to Pepper on September 17, 2012, Juliet
demonstrated very protective and caring behavior. She and Silver
are clearly the self-appointed Godparents and are always
watching out for the little guy, pointing him in the right
direction, and checking up on him.
